About The Position

M&W Transportation is seeking a Day Time Dedicated LOCAL Shuttle Driver domiciled out of Athens, AL. This position starts and ends at the Westrock Plant in Athens, AL. Drivers will be home every day. The job consists of out and back routes from Athens, involving drop and hook, and live loading and unloading. Routes cover East TN, Alabama, West Tennessee, and Northern Mississippi, with varying routes daily. The starting pay is $27.00/hour with no top-out pay, plus a monthly safety bonus of $300 - $500 every 4 weeks. This is a home daily, no-touch freight position with an average of 50-55 hours per week, operating late model 13-speed Peterbilts. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, and a full benefit package.

Requirements

Must be able to drive a manual transmission (no automatic only endorsements).
Minimum 2 years of experience in the operation of tractor/trailer equipment.
At least 23 years old.
Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License with proper endorsements in the state of residence.
No current license suspension/revocation.

Responsibilities

Shuttle driving from Athens, AL, starting and ending at the Westrock Plant.
Perform drop and hook, and live loading and unloading.
Complete routes covering East TN, Alabama, West Tennessee, and Northern Mississippi.
Operate late model 13-speed Peterbilts.
Maintain a safe driving record.
