About The Position

As an Educatius Local Coordinator, your responsibility will be to recruit, screen, and prepare prospective host families through community outreach, ensuring every student is placed in a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting students within their host families once they arrive. Local Coordinators make certain that both students and host families have a quality experience. As a Local Coordinator, you will build relationships with students from around the world and host families from within your community, all while managing your own time from home. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, responsible team players with an interest in working with international students and a passion for cross-cultural education. Our Local Coordinators come from many diverse backgrounds, including those with full-time jobs, stay-at-home parents, business owners, professors, empty nesters, and retirees.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and select host families in your community.
  • Screen host families by following the Educatius 3-Step host family screening process.
  • Match students with host families.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools and community stakeholders.
  • Provide support and guidance to students and host families throughout the experience.
  • Work closely with your Regional Manager to ensure all student and host family needs are being met.
  • Transition into a mentoring and problem-solving role once the student arrives in your community.
  • Complete Monthly Progress Reports on each student covering school, social, host family, and academic life.
  • Conduct monthly contact reports and bi-monthly in-person visits with students and families.
  • Be available for emergencies.
  • Network and recruit host families, utilizing provided training and resources.
