Transport intermodal freight to and from two rail yards in the Harrisburg area on local routes within approximately 250 miles. Drivers typically handle 2–5 loads per day, have daily home time, and do not run routes to New York City. The position offers multiple shift opportunities, paid training and orientation, and priority loading and unloading at Norfolk Southern rail yards. Drivers use company-owned, modern equipment, with automatic and manual trucks available. This is a slip-seating operation: trucks are shared between drivers and tractors remain at the terminal during time off. The fleet's average truck age is approximately two years, with on-site management and full-service maintenance. Average annualized earnings are $92,000. Compensation includes mileage pay of $0.62–$0.67 per mile, $88 per live stop, $57 per drop-and-hook, detention pay of $23–$33 per hour after one hour, and $40 per hazmat load. Additional pay may be available for qualifying activities such as driver assist, yard checks, and rail delays. A limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.
