About The Position

We are looking for a Class A CDL truck driver that can operate in a safe and timely manner to join our team. SEAA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of steel industry professionals. SEAA assists our members in their employee recruitment, hiring and training processes and we provide on-going safety and training support in effort to nurture success.

Requirements

Proven work experience as a class A CDL driver.
Hands on experience with GPS, etc.
Ability to drive long hours and travel locally regulations.
Ability to handle driving in the city along with highway travel.
No recent moving or driving violations.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, and etc.)
Valid CDL Class A license (without restrictions)
CDL A (Required)
People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply

Nice To Haves

Endorsements are a plus but not required.
CDL class A Driver: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Transport raw materials and finished goods by way of flat bed trucks and trailers to jobsites and possibly other manufacture facilities.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
Comply with all state and federal rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company and safety policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
Collect and verify delivery instructions and manifest.
Report defects, accidents, or violations.
When needed drive crane(Boom trucks) to or from jobsites.
Operator automatic and manual vehicles.
Loads depends on need at our own jobsites.
Willing to assist in loading or unloading procedures if needed?
Can you operate both manual (5 speed, 6 speed & 10 speed) trucks and automatic trucks?
