About The Position

The Local Account Executive at XPO is responsible for driving territory growth by building trusted advisor relationships, uncovering new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts, quantifying business impact, and delivering solutions that support customer objectives. This role involves conducting daily customer-facing meetings to build relationships, identify business challenges, and find growth opportunities. The Account Executive will lead customer conversations around pricing, contracts, and service solutions, demonstrating value and driving mutually beneficial outcomes. They will partner with operations, sales leadership, and service center teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful execution of commitments. Collaboration with Customer Support Specialists, Customer Service Representatives, and other internal partners is key to resolving customer issues, strengthening satisfaction, and supporting account growth. The role also involves developing and expanding relationships with decision-makers and influencers across customer organizations to uncover opportunities and increase account penetration. Translating customer feedback, market intelligence, and sales opportunities into actionable insights for leadership is crucial. The position requires driving clear next steps and accountability following customer interactions to advance opportunities that contribute to revenue growth, customer retention, and long-term partnership success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
  • 1 year of direct business-to-business selling experience supporting both local and national sales efforts
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
  • Available and flexible to work evenings and some weekends as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
