About The Position

The Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa is a luxury property seeking a Lobby Lounge Busser to join their team. Bussers provide expert support to the Lobby Lounge team, ensuring guests receive timely and gracious service. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and well-stocked Lobby Lounge in keeping with the hotel's high standards.

Requirements

Able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Meets legal age requirement for the position.

Nice To Haves

Prior Hospitality experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Greets all guests in a friendly manner.
Sets and clears tables according to Hotel standards.
Assists Bartenders and Food Servers in servicing the guests.
Follows all safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols at all times.
Carries dirty dishes from dining room to the Kitchen.
Wipes table tops and chairs with damp cloth.
Replaces soiled table linens and sets tables with silverware and glassware.
Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the service station.
Follows up on all service details for the Food Server.
Serves ice water bread and butter to patrons.
Cleans the floors when necessary.
Sets out and lights candles.
Cleans and polishes shelves and doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.
Makes coffee, ice tea and fills fruit juice dispensers.
Completes all opening and closing side work.
Keeps work area clean and organized.
All other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
