About The Position

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is seeking a part-time Lobby Bar Server Assistant. This role supports the vibrant and active Lobby Bar, which offers drinks, appetizers, and specialty desserts. The ideal candidate will assist servers in providing an expertly served dining experience, maintain cleanliness, deliver food, and communicate effectively with the kitchen staff and management. This position requires a positive attitude, superior guest service, and the ability to anticipate guest needs. The Lobby Bar Server Assistant is responsible for clearing and resetting tables, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the expo line, and delivering food with accurate descriptions. They will also assist with training new employees, ensuring a safe and secure environment, and identifying guest preferences. Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment, recognizing regular guests, and using appropriate language are also key aspects of this role. The position involves performing assigned duties from checklists, distributing guest notes, and moving furniture as directed by management.

Requirements

1–2 years of Food & Beverage experience
Prior experience working in Food & Beverage
Ability to listen effectively, empathetically and be respectful at all times
Ability to communicate assertively
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work as a team, stay organized, multi-task, and prioritize
A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers.
Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.
High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday evening availability is required for this role.
Must be fluent in English
Possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in an upscale, fine dining establishment preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the server in providing an expertly served dining experience
Clear and reset tables according to standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line
Deliver food to the correct tables and seat numbers while giving an accurate and appealing food description
Communicate fluidly with the restaurant chef
Assist the department managers with training of new employees as requested
Work in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and deliver superior guest service at all times
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests
Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome
Maintain the safety and security of the restaurant/bar premises
Identify guests’ preferences and their personal information: regularity and time of dining, food and drink choice, seat preference, food allergies, special occasion, hotel guests, table position, telephone number, e-mail address, web address, etc.
Keep the working environment clean, tidy and presentable
Recognize guests, remember the names of the regulars and be in constant communication with managers and reception about the satisfaction of our guests
Ensure appropriate language is used when speaking to guests, use guidelines issued during training
Accommodate if guests have any special requests or allergies, etc.
Perform all assigned duties as detailed in your opening, afternoon and closing checklists
Distribute the server’s slips (guest notes) and ensure any updates are given to servers and management promptly
Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, equipment, etc.
