The role involves interviewing loan and mortgage applicants, analyzing financial information, assessing credit, and approving loans within discretionary limits or making recommendations to a supervisor. Responsibilities include determining loan conditions, preparing and registering security documents, initiating fund advances, following up on delinquent accounts, reviewing overdrafts, and completing various reports for external programs and internal accounts. The Lending Administration function includes conducting annual reviews of lines of credit, maintaining collection procedures, acquiring and reviewing monthly operational reports from member businesses, auditing loan files, and recommending actions for overdrafts. The Sales & Service aspect involves identifying opportunities to promote credit union products, building member relationships, participating in marketing initiatives, establishing business contacts, and working collaboratively with team members. The role requires interpreting branch operating procedures, lending policies, and security requirements, and may include loan clerking duties or other lending levels as needed.
