About The Position

Sterling Buick GMC in Opelousas, LA is hiring! We are looking for outgoing individuals who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business. As a Loaner Car Agent, you will support customers by overseeing the loaner vehicle process while their vehicle is being serviced. This role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and close coordination with the Service Department to ensure all documentation, vehicle readiness, and customer needs are handled smoothly. Providing a professional, positive customer experience is essential to success in this position

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years in a customer service role is required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Works well both with a team and independently
  • Must be coachable and have strong communication and time management skills
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving experience due to insurance purposes
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required

Responsibilities

  • Guide customers through the loaner car process and address concerns
  • Ensure all required documentation is provided and policies are understood
  • Assist Service Advisors with vehicle status updates
  • Prepare and facilitate rental agreements with detailed information
  • Answer and direct calls, schedule service appointments
  • Handle insurance claims and collect deductibles for damages
  • Maintain updated records in spreadsheets and programs
  • Follow up with customers via phone and text on services and appointments
  • Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and demonstrate basic functions
  • Perform vehicle check-ins/check-outs and ensure rentals are clean and ready
  • Coordinate with Service Department on fuel and maintenance needs
  • Process warranty payouts per protocol
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
