About The Position

The primary role of this position is to provide member services, products and business practices so that we unlock and cultivate our members' financial future. To achieve this mission, the position must deliver high-quality service to both internal and external members ensuring, promoting, and maintaining positive relationships. A key component of this service is to provide clerical and administrative support needed to audit and decision consumer loans. This position requires rotational Saturdays.

Requirements

  • Produce loan documents, reports, and new memberships with at least 90% accuracy.
  • Provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates by responding to email within 24 hours.
  • Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations. Must have compliance with Truth in Lending, Reg B, and Reg Z. Also must be in Compliance with completing timely SARs, FACTA,MIP/CIP and red Flag. Must be well versed in Regulations such as: REG CC, BSA, OFAC, Reg B, Reg Z and MIP (CIP).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Meet or exceed monthly loan goals established by the credit union.
  • Five to ten years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Ten key calculator, typewriter and keyboard skills.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
  • Vision requirements include: close vision and the ability to focus.
  • Nature of the position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a maximum of 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for taking member loan applications for all loan types. Processes approved loans and sets up date and time to close the loan and make disbursements.
  • Use pre-closing and post closing checklists to ensure accuracy of closing documents. Assimilate loan documents in proper order to prepare for closing. Ensure loan type, interest rate, and payment method is set up correctly in the system. Prepare title packets for processing.
  • Performs audits on loans to ensure set up and processing is within approval limits meeting CU, State, and Federal lending guidelines and regulations. Works with FCs to ensure documentation is collected and filed appropriately.
  • Responsible for completing all adverse action letters on denied loan applications. Coordinates data collection and evaluations of credit quality of consumer loans using appropriate software or books such as NADA.
  • Performs loan maintenance work as necessary including due date changes, document rate exceptions, etc.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
