About The Position

This position falls within the production arm of Loan Operations. The Loan Servicing Specialist II is primarily responsible for performing functions within Equipment Finance, Document Management, and Loan Servicing. This individual assists and provides support as needed to foster and sustain a strong team environment. Support a diverse loan portfolio by performing a broad range of loan servicing, operations, collateral administration, and post-closing support functions across equipment finance, consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan products. Manage third-party servicing relationships and master servicer interactions by supporting portfolio performance and servicing compliance, ensuring accurate loan payment processing, reconciling balances and asset status, monitoring delinquent accounts, and coordinating collection efforts. Oversee investor-serviced and held-for-sale loan processes, post-closing loan documentation activities, and document retrieval and archival management. Maintain accurate loan records and system data through account maintenance, workflow processing, exception resolution, balancing activities, and transaction support within the Bank's core systems. Respond to customer and internal partner inquiries, research account issues, and ensure timely and accurate resolution. Process portfolio-related documentation and correspondence while ensuring compliance with regulatory, operational, and document retention requirements, contributing to the accuracy, risk management, and overall performance of the loan portfolio.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant banking, loan servicing, loan operations, or financial services experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new software applications and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with loan documentation, collateral administration, payment processing, or servicing functions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Primary support for third-party serviced assets and master servicer relationships.
  • Facilitate loan payment processing between third-party servicers and master servicers, ensuring payments are accurately applied.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively monitor delinquent assets and support collection efforts while ensuring servicing partners perform to expectations.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of loan balances and asset status between servicing platforms.
  • Receive, validate, and complete loan maintenance requests.
  • Research loan accounts and resolve routine customer and internal partner inquiries.
  • Scan, file, retrieve, and maintain documents within the Bank's imaging and document management systems.
  • Review, track, and update collateral records while identifying and escalating exceptions.
  • Monitor hazard insurance coverage and issue reminder notices as necessary to meet regulatory and servicing requirements.
  • Proactively manage aged collateral exceptions and outstanding documentation items.
  • Process corporate mail related to the portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate handling of correspondence and documentation.
  • Escalate questionable transactions and recurring operational issues to management in a clear and timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, business partners, vendors, and servicing counterparts.
  • Consistently adhere to all regulatory, operational, and legal requirements associated with assigned responsibilities.
  • Observe all security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • The role requires occasional travel for training, team meetings, and due diligence events.
  • May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.
