About The Position

The Loan Servicing and Collections Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the both the Loan Servicing and Collections functions of the bank. Requirements Providing excellent customer service on closed and/or delinquent loans by answering inquiries and providing information as requested. Provides administrative support to the Collections area by Reviewing and Preparing various reports of the established frequency Preparing notices and letters as needed Calling customers that are past due maintains compliance with all servicing and collection related investor requirements. Updates procedures for loan collection activities and monitors changes in investor requirements. Processes Consumer Dispute Verifications for the credit bureaus. Monitors Credit Bureau reporting codes and Notification codes. Responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Administers the force placement of hazard insurance related to the collateral for all real estate loan types. Assists the Collections Officer with projects and duties as assigned Input/check back/loan doc. review/compliance review of all commercial, residential and consumer loans. Entry of loan discrepancies unto error & pending spreadsheets Performs routine loan servicing administrative duties that include but are not limited to: Scanned Denies & Withdrawn Files into director Review of paid notes reports daily and send out discharges for recording. Scanning, Indexing, Committing of loan documents Daily review of Home Owners Policies and uploading to the Allied Website. Preparing and uploading a weekly collateral file to the Allied Website. Daily resolution of loan non-posts via EIM Review/Maintenance of collateral perfection including mortgage recording and UCC continuations Review/Maintenance of reporting to outside agencies and vendors including USDA, VEDA, SBA, VSI, FNMA, VHFA, PMI, FHLBB and Allied Solution/Mathes Review of all paid notes and discharging of mortgages Assists in the preparation of commercial/residential payoffs to attorneys, mortgage companies and PTC customers. Researching and providing customers or attorneys with subordination and discharge requests Review/Maintenance/Compliance of Flood Loans Adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act and all other laws and regulations that pertain to the job function Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of banking experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Adherence to Compliance Banking/Lending regulations and Investor Guidelines
  • Familiarity with Real Estate Transactions
  • Strong Analytical, Organizational, Decision Making, and Computer skills (to include Microsoft Office and Internet also a comfort level in learning bank specific software)
  • Able to retain information and apply to similar and new situations
  • Work in a fast paced environment and under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task
  • Attention to detail
