The Loan Administrative Assistant is generally the first person most people will see when they enter the loan department of the Bank, so it is important to be friendly, courteous, and professional. Under direct supervision of the Loan Officer, this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the officer and the loan department. Interactions with a diverse group of people throughout the day when accepting phone calls, assisting clients in the office, mailing or emailing important information or documents, as well as internal contact at all levels within the Bank, call for good communication skills, discretion and respect on the part of the Assistant. It is not uncommon for an assistant to be performing several jobs at one time. Constantly having to stop one job in order to do another, and having the ability to pick up and satisfactorily complete each task in a timely manner calls for excellent organizational skills and multitasking capabilities.
