About The Position

Alabama Ag Credit is a financial institution that provides financing for agriculture, agribusiness and rural real estate purchases and improvements. The institution is headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, with nine offices that service the lower 40 counties of Alabama. With over $1.5 billion in assets, the institution is a cooperative and part of the nationwide Farm Credit System. This role is responsible for preparing loan closing packets, researching borrower and collateral history, assisting with the coordination of closings, and reviewing post-closing documents.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of loan processing procedures.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and title/trust requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of title insurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing loan closing packets, to include insurance forms, loan forms, and flood certificates.
• Researching borrower and collateral history including tax liens.
• Assisting the Relationship Manager with coordinating the date/time/place of closing.
• Keeping the Relationship Manager abreast of loan closing preparation process and closing progress.
• Reviewing post-closing documents to include title policies, deeds of trust and assignments.
