About The Position

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of our Portsmouth, NH or Jacksonville, FL offices. This position provides support for the Loan Operations division responsible for the expeditious and accurate completion of loan applications by reviewing and processing loan applications. Acts as a liaison between front-facing bank staff and the underwriters ensuring that loan applications are free of mistakes and include all essential information and prior-to-document conditions by double-checking policies, procedures, and lending guidelines before and after approval. Packages information regarding an applicant and presents the transactions key points to our partners to ensure highest approval probability. Negotiates terms and conditions of each transaction with funding partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Financial Services OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Financial Services

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, reviews, and submits important loan documents confirming that all stipulated regulations are meet by ensuring all closing documents are delivered.
  • Meets and discusses loan specifications with borrowers, lenders, and other middlemen during this process.
  • Researches and provides resolution of loan issues, questions, and standards.
  • Works with team members in identification and resolution of exceptions.
  • Addresses routine and non-routine errors, discrepancies, and variances encountered in different applications and software.
  • Maintains and enters information into the systems.
  • Performs month-end close activities and provides support to systems that includes upgrades, and testing.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Provides troubleshooting support for issues and complaints involving internal and external parties.
  • Prepares routine and non-routine standardized reports and entries that projects the Bank's financial position.
  • Identifies and explains variances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develops additional reporting requirements as needed.
  • Works with team(s) to ensure that the platforms are functioning properly to support timely close, and external and internal reporting requirements.
  • Assists with process and system changes and testing including upgrades and updates.
