About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately and expediently funding all dealer contracts, maintaining regular and respectful communication with loan officers and dealers regarding fund delays and compliance. The specialist will identify opportunities to improve funding processes and be open to learning new procedures. A key aspect of the role involves understanding and communicating all facets of claims, insurance, and credit reporting as they relate to consumer loans, ultimately benefiting members and the credit union.

Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
  • Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent clerical and keyboard skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills to ensure file maintenance is accurate and compliant.
  • Strong Microsoft office knowledge with an emphasis on Excel.

  • Willingness to learn and take ownership of other processes that pertain to consumer loans to benefit our members and the credit union. This includes, but is not limited to Route 66, Skip pays, Eltropy/Glia, and loan funding.

Responsibilities

  • Fund all dealer contracts expediently and accurately.
  • Maintain good communication with the dealers regarding fund delays.
  • Respond quickly and respectfully to any quality control or audit issues.
  • Look for ways to improve funding processes and be open to learning new processes.
  • Process and track TruStage claims, cancellations, and correspondence.
  • Be knowledgeable and able to handle State National reports, postings, and loan corrections.
  • Act as the mediator for CUA employees and members for both CPI and TruStage related inquiries.
  • Process credit disputes and updates in the e-OSCAR site.
  • Make corrections in the core and be able to relay the information to employees or members.
  • Learn and take ownership of other processes that pertain to consumer loans, including Route 66, Skip pays, Eltropy/Glia, and loan funding.
  • Stay current on any changes with the Kansas title laws.
  • Be knowledgeable on the process of getting CUA’s lien secured on all collateral in or out of state.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.
