Our team is growing: Provide's Loan Operations team is looking for a bold, compassionate, and focused loan operations specialist to perform a wide range of duties related to the processing of loans. In this role, you will focus on maintaining contact with external and internal customers to ensure customer needs, workflows, and deadlines are met; serving as the primary customer contact throughout the processing of the loan; and coordinating the processing of the loan file, from loan application to closure. As a Provide and Fifth Third Bank team member, you will be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. You will be accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the risk appetites of Provide and Fifth Third Bank, you will be expected to achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio underwriting guidelines
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to make high-quality decisions and execute in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing residential real estate lending
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to keep the customer at the center and deliver excellent customer service
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of processing underwriting and closing procedures
  • Experience with mortgage origination systems, platforms, tools, and technology

Responsibilities

  • Review loan files in depth before funding to ensure file completeness, perfected collateral, and full structural alignment with the credit memo
  • Perform detailed analyses of purchase-and-sale or asset-sale agreements to confirm free-and-clear asset transfers
  • Review practice location leases and required insurance policies
  • Audit draft and final legal loan documents
  • Work closely with closing officers, underwriters, and other internal partners to drive maximum efficiency and optimize customer experience
  • Provide general operational oversight of deals in your pipeline
  • Coordinate loans to address customer needs and interests
  • Manage expected service levels and productivity requirements related to decision and condition clearing
  • Update information on systems to review conditions, and add, delete, satisfy, or waive as appropriate
