About The Position

As a Loan Officer I on our Digital Lending team, you’ll play a key role in helping members achieve their financial goals through personalized lending solutions and consultative service. You’ll guide members through the lending process, uncover opportunities to deepen relationships, and provide financial solutions that make a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Strong sales and customer service background with a consultative approach to member interactions.
  • Ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a goal-driven environment while maintaining a member-first mindset.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to explain financial products and lending solutions clearly and confidently.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with technology and systems required to support lending and member service functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous consumer lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed assigned consumer lending and sales goals.
  • Guide members through loan options, terms, and rates while tailoring solutions to fit their unique financial needs.
  • Interview members and process loan applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform credit checks, verifications, and required calculations to support lending decisions.
  • Prepare loan applications for closing and booking.
  • Build stronger member relationships by identifying opportunities for additional products and services.
  • Proactively recommend solutions that complement members’ immediate and long-term financial goals.
  • Communicate with members regarding loan accounts, application status, and service-related questions.
  • Assist members in resolving loan account discrepancies and service concerns.
  • Serve as a resource and work leader for loan interviewers and processors when needed.
  • Maintain compliance with credit union policies, procedures, security standards, and regulatory requirements including BSA, CIP, OFAC, CTR, and PSAR guidelines.
