About The Position

Cornerstone is seeking an experienced Licensed Loan Officer to join a tight-knit, goal-oriented team of mortgage professionals. The Loan Officer promotes and sells company loan products and services to potential customers while helping customers and referral partners achieve an accurate and timely closing process. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with a clear understanding of the residential mortgage loan process from application through fulfillment, or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Must be appropriately licensed by the applicable regulator in each state where performing licensee activities, or able to obtain the license within 60 days of the start date.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Time management skills, organization, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service.
Manage client relationships and identify client service and sales needs.
Respond to customer inquiries and referrals generated from the Loan Officer’s contacts.
Interview prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data.
Market, promote, and sell company loan products.
Negotiate rates and terms.
Define and manage customer expectations throughout the loan process.
Monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely closing.
Maintain product knowledge and stay up to date on changes in market conditions.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations related to residential mortgage lending.
