About The Position

Responsible to develop and service loan portfolio within delegated authority, manage credit quality, credit administration, and portfolio performance. Develop new business and ensure that the needs of members and prospects are met in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Association. Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations and present credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority. Loan officers represent the Association in the local community through active participation in community and industry affairs. Perform field reports, inspections, and perform other duties as assigned. For over 100 years, the Association has been providing agricultural lending services to commercial and mortgage borrowers in Utah and portions of Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with emphasis in accounting, agriculture or business
  • Basic understanding of production agriculture
  • Good analytical, accounting, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using office equipment, personal computers and related software
  • Ability to interact effectively and work well with people at all levels
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly
  • Skills in planning and organization
  • Self-motivator with a good work ethic
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment
  • Mobility on unimproved properties
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
  • Some travel required

Nice To Haves

  • Agriculture lending experience preferred
