The main function of this position is to proactively solicit new residential mortgage clients, while developing and cultivating a strong business network of referrals. It is the responsibility of a Loan Officer to analyze a borrower’s financial and credit data to determine creditworthiness and the probability of financial security in repayment efforts. This role involves originating sales by contacting prospective clients, developing and maintaining referral sources, and spending significant time outside the office meeting with clients and referral partners. The Loan Officer will also be responsible for obtaining credit information, analyzing applicant data, determining the best financial products for clients, and providing advice on financial products. Additionally, they must stay current on industry trends, maintain excellent business relationships, and provide origination services in their state of licensure.
