About The Position

The Loan Officer/Branch Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining efficient and effective operations at the branch level to ensure the maximum profitability and attainment of bank goals. The incumbent will generate, approve, and service an expected loan portfolio size over $2,500,000. This role directs and supervises branch staff toward the selling and servicing of bank products and services for prospective and existing customers. The position involves identifying, soliciting, and developing new branch business on an ongoing basis by calling on current and prospective customers, opening various deposit accounts to meet customer needs, and generating, approving, and servicing a personal loan portfolio relative to the branch market and its customers. The role is also responsible for maintaining contact with loan customers regarding past due loans and their collection, participating in community affairs to increase the Bank's visibility and enhance business opportunities, conducting branch meetings, and managing building maintenance functions. Additionally, the Loan Officer/Branch Manager prepares production reports for management, maintains thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory issues, completes compliance training, acts as backup for Relationship Bankers and CSRs, participates in the High-Performance Rewards Connections program, makes referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of similar or related experience
  • Loan origination experience required
  • General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive reading as needed
  • Ability to make difficult decisions and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

  • Completes required compliance training and adhere to the Banks standard of conduct.
  • Acts as backup for Relationship Bankers and CSRs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
