About The Position

We are seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist who will take the lead in preparing loan documents, coordinating closings, and ensuring every detail—from title work to flood determinations—is handled with care and precision. You’ll process fundings, review post-closing documentation, and support internal audits and regulatory exams, all while helping us deliver mission-aligned lending that makes a real difference.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of handling title work and understanding the importance of accuracy and compliance in the lending process.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent education and formal training.
  • Entrepreneurial Self-Starter - You take charge of your work product and take pride in delivering consistently great and measurable results. Once you know what is expected of you, you run with it — independently driving loans forward in a high-volume environment. You understand what it takes to bring tasks to completion, have the ability to anticipate and mitigate slowdowns and have a unique ability to balance efficiency and attention to detail. A high-pace and high-expectation environment excites you and you can’t wait to push yourself to new professional heights in a company that rewards high performance.
  • Organization & Efficiency- You manage your time like a pro and stay focused under pressure. You love a good system but also adapt to changing routines. You’re a master note-taker and checklist fanatic and stay on top of things with ease and consistency.
  • Master Communicator- You communicate with confidence, precision, and professionalism. You listen deeply and respond thoughtfully and engage with internal and external stakeholders efficiently and tactfully.
  • Banking & Fintech Acumen - You understand banking and Loan Operations deeply. Once you understand a process, you consistently look for ways to improve it or to complete it more efficiently. You are also committed to becoming a compliance wiz and actively strive for excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements. Lastly, you relentlessly seek and expand your understanding of our products and services and never miss an opportunity to speak eloquently about the Bank.
  • Tech-Forward and Analytical Thinking – You’re quick to learn new tools and excited by innovation. You also have previously worked with LaserPro and Phoenix (core system) and know your way around loan documentation and system workflows.
  • Commitment to Being a Team Player - You lift others up, share ideas, and bring positive energy to everything you do. You know how to operate as a part of a larger team and love contributing to the big picture. You’re dependable and always happy to lend a hand where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Craft precision-perfect loan packages using LaserPro, ensuring every document is accurate, compliant, and ready to move deals forward.
  • Review attorney-prepared loan documents with a sharp eye for detail, ensuring everything aligns with policy and purpose.
  • Take the lead on title and flood work, ordering and reviewing critical reports that keep our lending process smooth and secure.
  • Be the go-to coordinator for closings, working seamlessly with title agents, attorneys, loan officers, and assistants to bring each transaction across the finish line.
  • Own the funding process, making sure loans are disbursed accurately and on time—because timing is everything.
  • Double-check the details post-closing, reviewing documentation and system entries to ensure accuracy, compliance, and peace of mind.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory exams with confidence, helping us stay transparent, accountable, and audit-ready.
  • Adopt a commitment to environmental, social, economic, and racial justice.
  • Stay informed of applicable regulatory requirements and complete all mandatory compliance and IT training.
  • Pursue and demonstrate an understanding of established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Question suspicious activity and collaborate closely with the respective department(s) to help prevent fraudulent activity.
