About The Position

The Loan Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the loan processing team by managing and organizing loan documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for facilitating smooth communication between loan officers, clients, and underwriting departments to expedite loan approvals and closings. The Loan Assistant will handle data entry, verify borrower information, and maintain accurate records to support efficient loan processing. Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or assistant role, preferably within the financial or lending industry.
  • Basic understanding of loan processing and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills daily to manage multiple loan files and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate, which is essential for smooth loan processing.
  • Communication skills are critical for interacting with clients and internal teams to gather information and provide timely updates.
  • Proficiency with software tools like Microsoft Office and loan origination systems enables efficient data entry and record keeping.
  • Attention to detail helps in verifying borrower information and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher in finance, business administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist loan officers by preparing and organizing loan files and documentation for submission and review.
  • Verify borrower information and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on loan status.
  • Coordinate with underwriting, appraisal, and title departments to ensure timely processing of loans.
  • Maintain accurate records of loan applications, approvals, and closings in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
