About The Position

This position is responsible for loading and/or bagging all finished outgoing product, inspecting trailers and tankers, collecting samples and completing and keeping documents, and working in the production area as assigned by the supervisor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any general production opening. These openings require standing for long periods of time, lifting to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose. Must be able to read and complete required logs. Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate a frontend loader or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. Specific operator experience is beneficial; we also consider transferable skills from related fields (e.g., customer service, management) that can be applied to our operations. Requirements

  • 6 months forklift/operator experience with one employer in the last 24 months
  • Worker history must be documented on application or resume
  • 180 days wait period from last termination date
  • 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before)
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools
  • Must be able to perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions
  • Must be able to read and complete required logs
  • Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio
