About The Position

Lynden Air Cargo is a US part 121 all-cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska. We conduct operations within Alaska as around the world, utilizing our fleet of L382 Hercules aircraft. Our structure provides you with the family environment of a smaller company, and the competitiveness, expectations and rewards of a large, global organization. Lynden Air Cargo is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Flight Loadmaster to join our team supporting operations aboard one of the most iconic aircraft in the skies—the Hercules C‑130 L382G. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance materials, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and basic correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and present information to groups of employees or customers.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to interpret data such as charts and bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to solve routine problems involving a limited number of variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally without restriction, including access to foreign military bases.
  • Must be willing to be away from home for extended periods (up to 6 out of 12 months per year).

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain a Loadmaster II Certificate of Qualification upon completion of training
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical card for operating commercial vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in compliance with Lynden Air Cargo policies, the Loadmaster Manual, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
  • Prepare aircraft for loading and unloading, ensuring cargo is handled safely and efficiently.
  • Calculate and maintain proper weight and balance to ensure the aircraft is within safe operating limits.
  • Coordinate and direct loading and unloading activities with ground personnel for scheduled operations.
  • Oversee cargo operations, including supervising routine loading and off-loading of freight.
  • Remain in a constant state of alertness and operate in a safe, professional manner at all times.
