About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate loading of outbound shipments, handling materials efficiently, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You’ll play a key part in meeting daily shipping goals by working collaboratively and reliably within our logistics operations. Requirements

  • 18+ years old & High School degree or GED strongly preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and perform mathematical operations including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents including but not limited to policy manuals, safety rules/programs, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and simple correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required.
  • Ability to perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve problems, which involve multiple variables in a standard situation, is required.
  • Must have a high degree of concentration.
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diversified work force.
  • Ability to read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead peers, manage workflows, and maintain a high standard of quality.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive task environment with attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently, ensuring shipments are complete and on time
  • Safely lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly, including above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Follow daily loading schedules and work orders to meet delivery timelines
  • Verify product quantities and conditions against shipping documents
  • Operate pallet jacks, dollies, and other basic material handling equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient loading operations and flow of materials
  • Identify and report any shipping discrepancies or damaged goods
  • Support inventory counts and documentation as needed
  • Assist with general warehouse duties and cross-training opportunities
