About The Position

Supports loading dock operations at a client facility. This role coordinates tenant deliveries while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and safe loading dock environment. The Loading Dock Coordinator will perform on-site routine maintenance and assist with various duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
  • Prior work experience illustrating good attendance, professional behavior, reliability.
  • Ability to follow orders given orally and in writing.
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks, input data and complete paperwork with basic supervision.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladder, and perform various types of manual labor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Vision (with correction) sufficient for reading, performing repairs and painting.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with all applicable Federal, State and Local codes, regulations and corporate policies/procedures related to building operations and work safety.
  • Coordinates and schedules deliveries.
  • Safely manages staging of delivery trucks when entering and leaving loading dock.
  • Assists the Maintenance Technicians with job assignments as directed.
  • Cleans grounds, common areas and loading dock areas.
  • Assists in moving offices.
  • Performs property-tending duties such as trash pick-up, bathroom clean-up/stocking supplies, and sweeping/mopping.
  • Performs snow removal.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Monitors and ensures staff and visitors in the loading dock are complying with safety policies and practices.
  • Monitors and coordinates trash/recycling removal and pick up of dumpsters.
  • As a first responder operations level, responsible for initiating procedures in the event of hazardous substance spill or release in the loading dock area.
  • Supports facility management team with alarm monitoring and response.
  • Aware of fire alarm procedures, function, and panel locations.
