About The Position

Under general supervision, supports production and shipping by locating, loading, making minor repairs, and moving production to the shipping area. This role involves working closely with assembly builders and QC to ensure product readiness for shipment and verifying product accuracy and security on carts.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; climbing stairs, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Locate required product by using a load list.
  • Move product carefully to the area to be loaded onto returnable carts to avoid damaging product.
  • Verify product has been QC’d before loading.
  • Make minor repairs to product with QC hold tags (after training) or locate a repair person to correct issues.
  • Load product onto returnable carts based on the load list.
  • Pull carts to the shipping area in load list order.
  • Work closely with assembly builders and QC to ensure product is ready to ship when required.
  • Verify all product is secured onto the returnable carts.
  • Scan product to verify correct parts are on carts.
  • Can be trained on forklift to load and unload trailers (not required for the position).
