About The Position

This is a key position within our manufacturing facility which produces quality food products for our customers. The warehouse worker is responsible for properly packing, loading, and preparing bulk goods for shipment. Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM. Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of related experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Must have the ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively train others.
  • Must be able to read work documents in English.
  • Strong focus on safety
  • Good understanding of plant quality requirements
  • Good working knowledge of GMP’s
  • Good attendance and work history

Responsibilities

  • Load pallets and properly place items/product in trailer trucks with a powered industrial vehicle or other equipment.
  • Receive bulk ingredient, packaging, and raw material items and put away in designated area.
  • Assist in conducting cycle counts on raw materials and finished goods.
  • Document relevant shipping and receiving information.
  • Store and put away finished goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations
  • Inspection of packaged finished goods and ingredients.
  • Ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the food safety and food quality system.
  • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality issues from occurring.
  • Evaluating hazards, verification of measures and procedures that should be taken to achieve a safe work environment.
  • Works in a safe manner and promptly reports hazards identified in the work environment.
  • Work involves the use of equipment controls, flour system, and blender recipe system.
  • All other duties assigned.
