About The Position
Drive Medical is hiring first-shift Warehouse Loaders to load trucks with medical equipment, including products such as canes, wheelchairs, and in-home hospital beds. Loaders operate a stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack, and contribute to safety, quality, and service performance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role pays $19.80 to $22.50 per hour; actual pay may vary based on experience, specialization, education, and company requirements.
Requirements
- Forklift experience is required.
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack is required.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload medical equipment.
- Accurately load trailers with customer orders.
- Follow daily checklists for trailers and equipment.
- Operate an electric pallet jack or pacer to move products, load and unload trailers, and organize the dock floor.
- Stage equipment and products.
- Wrap and secure products to pallets using equipment.
- Record pallet counts and trailer loading information on load manifest sheets.
- Maintain loading accuracy and use the correct Bills of Lading (BOLs).
- Verify orders are complete before shipping.
- Communicate truck status to supervisors and other coordinators.
- Use a banding machine to strap pallets when needed.
- Participate in a continuous-improvement environment.
