About The Position

This role supports the electroplating autoline by receiving, verifying, and inspecting materials. The individual will be responsible for ensuring materials conform to specifications, determining plating process parameters, and maintaining production and quality standards. The position also involves adhering to safety rules, maintaining documentation, and performing other duties as assigned. Key responsibilities include assisting customer service, determining plating times and currents, verifying racks, visually inspecting parts, performing thickness and adhesion tests, and documenting non-conforming materials. The role also requires filling out various check sheets and making adjustments to maintain operating ranges.

Requirements

  • Legible handwriting
  • Ability to follow written instructions accurately
  • Ability to use measuring instruments, gauges, and test equipment proficiently and accurately
  • Proficient understanding of decimals and fractions
  • Ability to work well with other people and demonstrate team player behavior
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Ability to accurately read blueprint specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds at frequent intervals
  • Must maintain "meets expectation" attendance, safety, and job performance evaluations
  • Standing, stooping, and bending 100% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Receives, verifies, and inspects materials for plating processes.
  • Verifies size and count of materials to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Determines size, composition, plating process, and thickness for materials based on customer order forms.
  • Maintains production and quality standards.
  • Conforms to all safety rules.
  • Maintains documentation as required.
  • Follows customer service schedule and assists customer service when requested.
  • Determines time and electrical current for parts during plating process.
  • Verifies and sends racks according to shop order work instructions.
  • Visually inspects parts through cleaning and rinsing processes.
  • Performs thickness and adhesion tests and documents results.
  • Fills out "HOLD" tickets for non-conforming materials.
  • Fills out maintenance check sheets, daily check sheets, and maintenance request forms.
  • Makes adjustments to tank temperatures to maintain operating ranges.
