About The Position

The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This role also involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movement within the facility, performing daily pre and post-trip inspections of assigned machinery, and adhering to company guidelines for safe loader operation. The Loader Operator will contribute to the Copart experience by understanding company policy and offering solutions to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
  • One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude/High Integrity.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Occasional O.T. as needed.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification for loader or forklift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
  • Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
  • Performing daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and following company guidelines for safe loader operation.
  • Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
  • Operating company equipment safely.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
  • Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
  • Operating a digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
  • Setting up the yard for auctions within company timelines.
  • Providing service to customers as needed.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
  • Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
  • Passing training and safety requirements.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
