About The Position

The Yard Loader Operator supports a rock quarry in Shell Knob, Missouri, operating a front-end loader to move, load, and stockpile aggregate materials safely and efficiently. The role involves maintaining equipment, performing basic repairs, following safety procedures, and coordinating with crew members and subcontractors to keep work on schedule and within budget. The position has little to no travel. Candidates without prior loader experience may be trained.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and operate heavy equipment safely.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training in heavy equipment operation.
• Loader experience, especially in a quarry or aggregate environment.
• Experience with government contracts and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader in a rock quarry yard to move, load, and stockpile aggregate materials.
• Complete work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Communicate with crew members and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors so they are aware of project schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safety procedures are followed.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
• Provide on-the-job training to new operators and mentor other operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
