Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment, with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Knowledge of site development and construction operations.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, lift heavy materials, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from more experienced workers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate both a rubber tire and track loader along with other various pieces of heavy equipment to support pipe or grade crew operations ensuring effective water management and infrastructure integrity.
  • Uphold safety standards.
  • Learn new skills.
  • Tackle challenging tasks.
  • Keep the worksite clean.
  • Communicate effectively with the team.
  • Support Crew by assisting foremen and other crew members by operating heavy equipment to move materials on job sites.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others on the site.
  • Gain hands-on experience and learn new skills related to heavy construction and site development.
  • May also be asked to assist with pipe laying and other construction activities.
  • Keep the worksite clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment. The operator is responsible for ensuring the machine is fueled, greased, and lubricated daily. If there is an equipment malfunction, the operator shall notify the foreman or supervisor immediately.
  • Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to complete tasks efficiently.
