About The Position

This position is responsible for the loading of haul trucks in a safe, efficient, and acceptable manner while following all company quality guidelines and work procedures. The position is also responsible for the safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the load out areas.

Knowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the industry.
Must be able to work shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes, including overtime.
Effectively communicate and interact with supervisors, managers, and peers.
Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.
Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
Will be working at times in covered environment but mainly in a mining environment.
The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral Particles.
The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed.
High School Diploma, GED Equivalent, or demonstrated skills or ability.
A minimum of one year of previous heavy manufacturing and/or mining experience is highly preferred.
Previous heavy equipment experience is desired.

Nice To Haves

Technical training or AA degree in technical related field is desired.
Valid CDL Class A or Class B license is desired.
2 – 4 years of experience

Responsibilities

Report pre-shift equipment inspections to Mine Foreman
Report any unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately
Lubricate loader as required
Maintain fluid level in loader
Assist maintenance team members as directed
Attend safety meetings
Enforce all company, local, state and federal safety policies and procedures
Maintain Company and Federal House Keeping Standards
Implement all elements of the quality manual
Maintain validity of documentation affecting the positions listed above
Maintain the validity of all procedures affecting the positions listed above
Be capable of performing back-up duties for other Loader Operators and other qualified personnel
Ensure a SQF workplace and follow regulatory compliance with Federal FDA – Food Modernization Safety Act (CFR Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, Part 507)
Support Environmental Health and Safety, as well as SQF initiatives and awareness programs
Be a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture
Following completion of SQF training, demonstrate understanding of expected safety, SQF performance and Food Safety Culture
Complete periodic SQF training(s)
Perform other duties as assigned
