About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a global technology leader and the premier online vehicle auction platform, with over 200 facilities worldwide, connecting sellers to over 750,000 buyers in more than 190 countries. The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This role also involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, performing daily pre and post-trip inspections of assigned machinery, and ensuring safe operation according to company guidelines. The Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by understanding company policy and meeting customer needs, ensuring equipment is maintained to company standards and customer contracts, and operating company equipment safely. Additionally, the role includes assisting with equipment and vehicle maintenance, accurately recording vehicle information, operating documentation devices, setting up yards for auctions within timelines, providing customer service, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while adhering to yard safety guidelines.

Requirements

At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience.
Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Positive attitude/High Integrity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

HS diploma or GED preferred.
Certification preferred for loader or forklift experience.
Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
Performing daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of assigned machine.
Maintaining a safe work environment and following company guidelines for safe loader operation.
Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
Ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
Operating company equipment safely.
Assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
Operating digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
Setting up yard for auctions within company timelines.
Providing service to customers as needed.
Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.).
Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
Passing training and safety requirements.
Performing other duties as assigned.
