About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a global leader in online vehicle auctions. The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This role also involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, performing daily pre and post-trip inspections of assigned machinery, and ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to company guidelines for loader operation. The Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by understanding company policy and offering solutions to meet customer needs. They will ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts, operate company equipment safely, and assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles. Accurate and legible recording of vehicle information, operation of digital cameras or other documentation devices, and timely yard setup for auctions are also key responsibilities. The role requires providing service to customers as needed, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor, and following yard guidelines for safety. The operator must be willing and able to assist in the yard with receiving, maintenance, and other duties as assigned by their supervisor. They must also be able to pass training and safety requirements.

Requirements

HS diploma or GED preferred.
At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.
Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Positive attitude/High Integrity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Occasional O.T. as needed.
Bilingual skills a plus.

Nice To Haves

Certification preferred for loader or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.

Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.).
Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
Passing training and safety requirements.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Assisting in yard as needed (receiving, maintenance of the yard, any other duties assigned by your supervisor).
