About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a global leader in online vehicle auctions, connecting sellers with buyers worldwide. We are seeking a Loader Operator responsible for moving and loading vehicles using company-provided equipment, maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, and performing daily inspections of machinery. The role also involves ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to operational guidelines, and facilitating the Copart customer experience by meeting customer needs. The Loader Operator will ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts, operate company equipment safely, assist with equipment maintenance, accurately record vehicle information, use documentation devices, set up yards for auctions, provide customer service, and maintain a professional demeanor. Adherence to yard guidelines for safety, including speed limits, is crucial. The position requires the ability to load and unload vehicles, pass training and safety requirements, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience.
Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Positive attitude/High Integrity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

HS diploma or GED preferred.
Loader or forklift certification preferred.
Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
Performing daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of assigned machine.
Maintaining a safe work environment and following company guidelines for safe loader operation.
Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
Ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
Operating company equipment safely.
Assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
Operating digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
Setting up yard for auctions within company timelines.
Providing service to customers as needed.
Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
Passing training and safety requirements.
Performing other duties as assigned.
