Loader Operator
About The Position
Copart, Inc. is a technology leader and global online vehicle auction platform with more than 200 facilities. The Loader Operator moves and loads vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift and maintains documentation of vehicle movements around the facility. The role includes conducting and documenting daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and following company guidelines for safe loader operation. Operators apply their knowledge of Copart policies to help meet customer needs and provide a positive customer experience.
Requirements
- At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
- One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and high integrity.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Occasional overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Loader or forklift certification.
- Bilingual skills.
Responsibilities
- Move, load, and unload vehicles using company equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of vehicle movements and record vehicle information legibly.
- Conduct and document daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
- Maintain equipment according to company standards and customer contracts.
- Operate company equipment safely and assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
- Use a digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
- Set up the yard for auctions within company timelines.
- Provide service to customers as needed and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
- Follow yard safety guidelines, including speed limits, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Pass required training and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
