About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a global leader in online vehicle auctions, seeking a Loader Operator to join their team. The role involves moving and loading vehicles using company-provided equipment, maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, and performing daily pre and post-trip inspections. The Loader Operator is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to company guidelines for safe operation, and providing solutions to meet customer needs through a thorough understanding of Copart policy.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
  • One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude/High Integrity.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Occasional O.T. as needed.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification for loader or forklift operation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
  • Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
  • Performing daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and following company guidelines for safe loader operation.
  • Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
  • Operating company equipment safely.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
  • Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
  • Operating a digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
  • Setting up the yard for auctions within company timelines.
  • Providing service to customers as needed.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.).
  • Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
  • Passing training and safety requirements.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
