About The Position

The Loader Operator safely operates loaders and other assigned equipment to support daily yard and production operations. This is not an equipment-only position: the operator also performs hands-on, ground-level work throughout the shift, including material handling, yard organization, cleanup, vehicle and parts movement, and assisting other operational areas as needed. The role requires frequent entry into and exit from equipment and following safety procedures around vehicles, heavy equipment, and active production areas.

Requirements

• Automotive background and heavy equipment experience.
• Previous heavy equipment operating experience, general maintenance experience, and understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate loaders and other assigned equipment to support daily yard and production operations.
• Perform ground-level work as needed in addition to operating loaders and other equipment.
• Assist with moving, sorting, staging, and organizing vehicles, parts, materials, and scrap.
• Perform general yard cleanup and housekeeping, remove debris, and maintain safe, clear work areas.
• Assist other yard and production employees with physical tasks as operational needs require.
• Enter and exit equipment frequently throughout the shift to complete ground-level duties.
• Follow safety procedures while working around vehicles, heavy equipment, and active production areas.
• Perform other general labor and yard duties as assigned.
