About The Position

This role involves the safe and efficient movement of raw materials within the facility using a front-end loader, forklift, and dump trucks. The operator will be responsible for ensuring product integrity by distinguishing between various materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and performing daily equipment checks. Additionally, the position requires a commitment to safety, including participation in the ALL4Zero Safety Program, reporting safety issues, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas and associated grounds. The role also includes inspecting the facility for maintenance needs and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Willing to participate in ALL4Zero Safety Program.
  • Must be able to distinguish various raw materials to avoid any cross-contamination.
  • Must be able to read and understand various paperwork to accurately move various types of product and materials throughout the facility.
  • Must be able to safely operate front-end loader, forklift, and dump trucks.
  • Able to work at heights, heavy lifting, capable of wearing a respirator, hardhat, and safety glasses.
  • Have basic knowledge and understanding of unloading information.
  • Ability to work well with teams and alone.

Responsibilities

  • Moving of raw materials from storage areas into feed hoppers as directed by plant supervisor or team leader.
  • Distinguish various raw materials to avoid any cross-contamination.
  • Locate product safely and efficiently.
  • Read and understand various paperwork to accurately move various types of product and materials throughout the facility.
  • Safely operate front-end loader, forklift, and dump trucks.
  • Complete a daily operator’s checklist on the loader to which the operator is assigned.
  • Notify supervisor with safety issues.
  • Notify supervisor of forklift operating issues, product storage issues, inventory restock issues, and inventory variances.
  • Responsible for housekeeping at the unloading areas, plant receiving areas, and all associated grounds.
  • Inspect facility for maintenance issues; keep area clean and well maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned.
