About The Position

Greenhill Concrete is hiring a Loader Operator to operate a loader in the daily operations of an assigned concrete plant. The operator must work safely and efficiently while following personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. This role is classified as safety sensitive. Work is performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and involves exposure to outdoor elements. The position requires physical activity, including standing, sitting, stooping, bending, walking, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The employee may also need to perform other concrete plant duties as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools.
Skills in mathematics, operation monitoring, operation and control, monitoring, coordination, and critical thinking.
Ability to type or use a keyboard and read effectively from a computer screen or paper copy.
Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate verbally effectively.
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, and lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Two to three years of heavy equipment operation experience in heavy highway or farm work is preferred.

Responsibilities

Keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe.
Operate a loader.
Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments.
Use equipment for tasks such as trenching, excavating, loading, leveling, rough grading, and finishing.
Perform other concrete plant duties as needed.
