About The Position

Copart is a technology leader and online vehicle auction platform connecting vehicle sellers with buyers worldwide. The Loader Operator moves and loads vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift and documents vehicle movement around the facility. The operator performs and documents daily pre- and post-trip inspections of their assigned machine, maintains a safe work environment, and follows company guidelines for safe loader operation. Through knowledge of Copart policy, the operator helps meet customers’ needs and provides service as needed.

The role also includes maintaining equipment according to company standards and customer contracts, assisting with maintenance of company equipment and vehicles, accurately recording vehicle information, and using a digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices. The Loader Operator sets up the yard for auctions within company timelines, maintains a positive and professional demeanor, follows yard safety guidelines, and loads and unloads vehicles as required. The operator must pass training and safety requirements and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
• One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and high integrity.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Occasional overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Loader or forklift certification.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Move and load vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.

• Provide service to customers as needed and help address their needs in accordance with Copart policy.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Follow yard safety guidelines, including speed limits.
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Pass required training and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
