About The Position
CKB Construction is a privately owned company with over 40 years specializing in Municipal Water & Sewer Construction & Rehabilitation along with Sewer Outfall Construction & Rehabilitation. Reporting to the foreman, operators are an integral member of field operations, responsible for providing support on all of our water and sewer projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year(s) of directly related experience
- Class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Able to lift 60 lbs. unaided
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating on congested streets
- Read and understand site plans to better anticipate upcoming material needs is an asset
- Ground Disturbance level 2
- Dozer & track loader experience
Responsibilities
- Participate and provide input during morning toolbox
- Provide daily upkeep with the equipment you are assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, greasing, fueling, and cleaning
- Operate various sizes of loaders, such as 244, 444, 544
- Load and unload materials from truck (pipe, MH material)
- Supply sand and rock for pipe bedding in trench's
- Assist with backfill when needed
- Other duties as assigned
