About The Position

The Loader/Mobile Equipment Operator works at the McKinley Paper Company Albuquerque Depot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role supports depot operations by safely handling and staging raw materials, maintaining accurate receiving information, assisting with inventory and stock movement, and keeping equipment and the facility in good working order. The position requires a safety-first approach and interaction with all areas of the depot. Work is primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions. This is a full-time position; hours and days of work may vary.

Requirements

High school education level.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, catwalks, and platforms.
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds unaided.
Ability to walk, stand, and work on uneven surfaces.
Ability to operate wheeled equipment and a manlift.
Ability to hear and respond to facility communication devices, alarms, and warning systems.
Ability to tolerate heat, cold, humid environments, and machine noise while using appropriate hearing protection.
Vision must meet legal requirements for operating a vehicle.
Competencies include technical capacity, personal effectiveness/credibility, thoroughness, professionalism, flexibility, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as a Bobcat, forklift, or other heavy industrial mobile equipment.
Load and unload raw materials.
Stage materials for counting and inspection and ensure receiving reports accurately reflect materials received.
Assist with resolving material discrepancies.
Store materials properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
Assist with pulling stock material for jobs when needed.
Operate machines at maximum efficiency levels.
Ensure ongoing preventative maintenance and repairs are completed when needed.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
Clean the baler and conveyor; maintain the warehouse and breakroom; and remove cardboard debris from loading docks, fence lines, and the overall facility.
