About The Position

Pilgrim's is seeking a Loader Driver to operate commercial vehicles, load and unload equipment, ensure securement of loads, plan efficient routes, and perform equipment inspections. This role requires adherence to all safety and DOT regulations, accurate documentation, and a commitment to maintaining equipment. Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience.
• Proficiency in operating loaders and CMV.
• Deep knowledge of DOT cargo securement regulations (chains, binders, and straps).
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. frequently, climb onto trailers, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination and a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must pass background checks.
• Verification of employment eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, flatbeds, lowboys, step-decks, in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
• Drive or guide forklifts, onto and off trailers safely.
• Ensure all equipment is properly chained, strapped, bound, and balanced according to Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety guidelines.
• Plan efficient routes, and accurately navigate to designated farms.
• Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
• Report any mechanical defects, maintenance needs, or safety hazards immediately.
• Inspect forklifts/loaders, fuel and check oil on equipment.
• Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
