About The Position
Ashley Furniture is hiring full-time Warehouse Associates for its fast-paced Distribution & Fulfillment Center. Team members load and unload products by hand and with forklifts or other powered vehicles, moving products between trailers, containers, and storage locations. The work is physically active, fast-paced, and self-driven, with independence as part of a large, motivated team. Various schedule options are available. Pay is $19.00.
Requirements
- Ability to learn basic computer and warehouse or distribution-center scanning systems.
- Ability to obtain a valid, company-issued forklift or Powered Industrial Vehicles license where required.
- Basic counting, math, and measurement skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic communications.
- Ability to reliably work a defined full-time schedule.
- Frequently transport loads of up to 100 pounds and occasionally manipulate loads of up to 250 pounds.
- Reliability and a positive, can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
- Transfer materials within the warehouse facility as needed.
- Load and unload products by hand and using forklifts or other powered vehicles.
- Operate forklifts and other powered vehicles safely and appropriately.
- Prioritize safety for yourself and coworkers.
