About The Position

The Load Master is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of aircraft cargo. This includes preparing loading instructions, coordinating with handlers and other departments, verifying necessary documentation, operating cargo doors (with proper training), inspecting cargo units (ULDs) and their contents before loading, and checking the condition of cargo compartments after unloading and before loading.

Requirements

  • Professional: one year of experience.
  • Technologist: More than 2 years of experience.
  • Technician: More than 3 years of experience.
  • Student: More than 8 years of experience in the field with personnel management experience.
  • A1 Initiation (Language proficiency). Capable of understanding and expressing simple, everyday actions related to the immediate environment; or filling out forms with personal data.
  • A2 Basic (Language proficiency). Understands topics of personal interest and can grasp the idea of clear messages. Can maintain simple and clear conversations or write personal letters.

Responsibilities

  • Elaborate, when required, the LIR (Loading Instructions and Report) of the aircraft according to the weight list supplied by Warehouse or Export Office.
  • Coordinate loading and unloading times with the handler and involved internal and external areas.
  • Verify the necessary documentation for loading and unloading (LIR and NOTOC).
  • Operate aircraft cargo doors only in bases where required. The Loadmaster cannot operate the main cargo door without training on its operation from Maintenance, the Manufacturer, or a certified trainer.
  • Verify cargo ULDs prior to loading onto the aircraft. This verification will cover all visible aspects of the pallet and its contents according to damage criteria for the unit, net, and straps.
  • Verify the condition of cargo compartments (floors, latches, panels) after unloading and before loading the aircraft.
