About The Position

The LNG Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician at the Towanda LNG Facility in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, operates and maintains liquefied natural gas equipment and systems. The facility produces 50,000 gallons of natural gas per day and has a storage capacity of 180,000 gallons. The technician monitors, inspects, troubleshoots, and performs routine maintenance on turbines and auxiliary equipment while ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role includes hands-on diagnostics, emergency response, and supporting reliable, high-performance plant operations. The position covers control room operations, field activities, and maintenance across systems used for liquefaction, vaporization, trucking, and standby modes. Work includes mechanical, electrical, electronic, and instrumentation tasks, equipment monitoring and documentation, instrumentation calibration, work-order completion, spare-parts inventory, and general facility upkeep. The technician works rotating 12-hour shifts, with occasional extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and possible callouts or on-call duty. The O&M Technician reports to the O&M Shift Supervisor. Work takes place in an LNG facility environment that may involve confined spaces, narrow areas, hazardous materials, fumes, cryogenic temperatures, extreme weather, noise, and high heat near equipment. Physical demands include prolonged standing, climbing, working at heights, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective equipment may be required. Employment includes participation in a Fitness for Duty Program with a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and post-employment random drug screening.
